Yes, the Chicago Cubs swept the St. Louis Cardinals! Way to go Barrett, with a grand slam!

The Royals also won the series against the White Sox!

I have been busy like usual, working, hanging out with friends, and studying. I can't wait for Thursday- no school for four days. I am looking forward to seeing my brother and other family members and friends over Easter break!

Yes, the baseball season is finally here. And the Cubs won! I am so happy that the Cubs have Pierre, Jones, and Mabry, and that Matt Murton is playing left.

I believe this is the Cubs year, especially since it is not the White Sox's year since SI jinxed them.

I have been really busy with all of my classes, lots of papers and reading.

Got to go to class.

Okay, I know I have not written in a long time, so here is a quick recap of what I have been doing. Last week was spring break. I worked at the day care center on campus and observed at Columbus East. I also hung out with friends while I was not busy working, or observing, or when I was not sick.  What a great way to end spring break......sick.

My brother is home from NIU and is on spring break now. While I miss him when he is at NIU, I sometimes wish he would stay there all the time and yesterday morning was one of those times.

Yesterday (Thursday) morning, my grandmother died.  She was 91 years old.  She was the last Iwicki, the last sister of 4 sisters and 1 brother to die.  She is greatly missed.  Please keep my family in your prayers.  

As I was going through family pictures yesterday I was reminded of the good times our family had with her.   I remember going to the park with her when I was a little girl, her coming to watch my brother and I play basketball or baseball or I cheerleading.  I remember going to Pancake breakfasts at Divine Savior (which they still have and their food is good) with her.  I remember family get togethers at different family houses over  the years as well as birthday, graduation and other parties.   I remember going to Summerfest (carnival) at Divine Savior (which they still have at the end of August) and watching her play bingo, before I was old enough to play myself (18).    

The wake is Sunday and the funeral Monday.

I know I have not written in a long time but I have been busy.  Christmas was great, I got to see a lot of my relatives.   A few days after Christmas I had my wisdom teeth pulled out.  It was not as bad as other people make it out to be, like my brother. 

Also over break I went to work, did lots of shopping, and hung out with friends.

My brother was home from NIU over the holidays and I will be sad to see him go back on Monday.  Although now he wont be around to bug me especially about the car.

I'm back at school.  I am taking 6 classes, 3 Tuesday/Thursdays, 1 MWF, 1 monday night class and 1 wednesday night class.   3 of my classes are education classes and 3 of my classes are history classes.  

GO BEARS!!!!!
